White Blanket

We leave little prints behind us
As the snow falls to the ground
We walk hand in hand
To the top of the hill...

As the snow fills in our tracks
We are surrounded by a white blanket
Gazing onto the scene below
Of a town snug under a white blanket

We sit arm together not saying a word
But knowing what the other is saying...

Why only at this time the earth is quiet
Why can't it be this beautiful always

The snow continues to fall
Gently landing on our faces
The white blanket continues to cover us

Under a white blanket of snow...
